我估计这消息属于捕风捉影,来自很早就有的BIPM自己的描述:
The results of comparisons between the official copies and the international prototype show some divergence with time. The graph below shows changes of about 5 x 10–8 in the mass of the standards since their first calibration. All measurements are with respect to the international prototype. For this reason, the mass of the international prototype defines the x-axis of this graph.

There is no reason to suspect that the mass of the international prototype of the kilogram is more stable than its official copies. The question of stability can only be answered definitively by comparison with a fundamental constant of nature (such as the Planck constant or the mass of an atom of 28Si). Such experiments are being carried out in several national laboratories. So far, relative uncertainties of about 10–7 have been achieved.
看意思,由于该图是所有的做证基准相对于公斤原器进行的,因此公斤原器就在100多年来少了50微克。
我认为,质量基准本质上是很难变化的,而公斤原器少了50微克,是因为其它的基准平均增加了50微克。为什么?这是因为污染、灰尘所导致。公斤元器被密封在三层负压的玻璃罩里,使用次数及其有限,因此受污染的机会少。而其它一些基准只密封在双层玻璃罩里,使用次数也多,因此受污染的机会也大。
